Venice, Italy

It was not until my third visit to Venice that I decided to explore the seldom visited island of Giudecca. I had spied it and it’s sleepy canals on previous vaporetto trips to and from the train station. On a chilly February afternoon I came upon this perfectly still scene. I just love the deep, dark blue of the water and what luck to find a boat painted in this wonderful fuscia color. I shot this scene in both traditional and panoramic format.
