Burano, Italy

FINE ART COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS FOR SALE OF BURANO, ITALY

I lost count a few years ago, but if I had to guess it would be close to 20 times that I have visited Burano, Italy. Color is the first thing that I respond to when I am practicing the craft of photography and Burano is perhaps, to me, the most intensely colorful place in the world. I have visited many other locations that are deemed colorful, but what stands out for me about Burano is the pleasing color combinations that this small population of Italian islanders chose to adorn their simple dwellings with. Truly a happy place for me.

Burano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, near Torcello at the northern end of the lagoon, known for its lace work and brightly colored homes. The primary economy is tourism and has a population of less that 3,000 people. It can reached via the public vaporetto water buses from Venice in approximately 45 minutes.
