Venezia, Italy

FINE ART COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS FOR SALE OF VENICE, ITALY

There is no place in the world like Venice, Italy, not even in Las Vegas. La Serenissima, meaning the Most Serene was the name once given to the eternal city of Venice when it was a substantial trading empire. These days, with the overcrowding from mass-tourism, I would not refer to Venice as being Serene, unless you are experiencing this wonderful city in the wee hours of the morning or late at night, the time when many of these photographs were captured. My favorite time to photograph around San Marco Square is to arrive an hour before sunrise. Sometimes you will not encounter another sole. Magical. Follow up an hour or so session of capturing amazing photographs with the first cappuccino and brioche con crema before heading back to the hotel for a well earned nap. In spite of the ever increasing crowds, I will continue to return to Venice to experience its magical charm. There really is nothing like it in the world.

When is the best time to visit Venice, Italy? For reasons of avoiding massive crowds and extremely hot weather, choose the shoulder season, early spring or late fall. How about Christmas? Sure, Magrit & I were there for few days between Christmas and New Years and it was one of the best experiences we have had. No crowds, just the locals and a wonderfully festive atmosphere. I was also told the late November is nice with periods of fog...wonderful for capturing stellar fine art photographs.
