Cinque Terre, Italy

FINE ART COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS FOR SALE OF THE CINQUE TERRE, ITALY

Cinque Terre is a collection of five, centuries-old seaside villages nestled along the dramatic Italian Riviera. In each charming town, brightly colored homes and terraced vineyards cascade down steep cliffs, while lively harbors brim with fishing boats and waterfront trattorias serve fresh seafood and the region’s signature pesto. The scenic Sentiero Azzurro trail connects all five villages, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean coast at every turn. From north to south the villages include Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

The easiest way to visit the Cinque Terre is on the Italian Train Line. Since you cannot drive in the villages a car is a waste of money and is not necessary. We like to catch the late morning train from Pisa that stops briefly in La Spezia but does not require a change of trains. So far, that non-change train has always been leaving Pisa at 11:42 am and arrives in Monterosso al Mare at 12:53 pm.We also like to splurge a bit on a first class ticket as the trains can be crowed and difficult to board with luggage. There is less demand for the first class seats which makes it much more relaxing when boarding and embarking.  Plus the seats are a lot more comfortable!
