Why Number Two? Number One & Two are from the early days of travel photography from my first trip to Europe in 1978 after obtaining my degree in portrait and commercial photography. When I deem a photo worthy, it is assigned a number and placed in a folder called Masters. These are the first two that went into the folder. Photo © copyright by Jim Nilsen.

About Jim

Jim has won numerous awards for his compelling travel & landscape photographs. He began pursuing his interest in professional photography during his years fishing commercially in Alaska while also obtaining a degree in Photography from Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane, WA.

For the past 30 years, Jim has specialized in fine art travel and landscape photography.

Aside from making great photos and leading photography tours to his favorite locations, Jim also loves the intricacies of the post-production process and all its endless possibilities. Jim is also a passionate skier and hiker. Jim & Magrit reside in the lovely town of Edmonds, just north of Seattle.
